TERMIS-AP 2020

On behalf of the organizing team, it is my pleasure and privilege to welcome all of you, colleagues and friends, to TERMIS-AP 2020 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The year 2020 is a special year for us as it is the first time that Malaysia is hosting a TERMIS-AP conference. The theme of TERMIS-AP 2020 is “Revolutionizing Regenerative Research Strategies Towards Precision Medicine” which could not be more apt as the healthcare and biomedical sectors are rapidly moving towards precision medicine. In this regard, we hope that the TERMIS-AP 2020 will be the platform to forge more collaborations and networking among researchers, clinicians and scientists for the advancement of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine (TERM).

In this conference, participants will gain more insights into the basic, clinical and commercialization aspects of TERM. There will be plenty of opportunities for our delegates to present their research and to meet our panel of experts for potential collaborations. Apart from that, we very much encourage young researchers and trainees to participate whereby we have dedicated sessions for Student and Young Investigator Section (SYIS). We will be sharing more details and updates on the TERMIS-AP 2020 program.

Malaysia is a multicultural country and because of this, there will be plenty of attractions to see and enjoy. It is also easily accessible and one of the top value-for-money destinations in the world. Therefore, join us at TERMIS-AP 2020, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 21st – 24th September 2020 to experience both science and culture in one of the most diverse countries in Asia.

Again, we would like to invite you to participate in TERMIS-AP 2020 and also experience the warm hospitality that Malaysia has to offer.

Hope to see you in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia!

5th International Conference on Perovskite Solar Cells and Optoelectronics, PSCO-19

5th International Conference on Perovskite Solar Cells and Optoelectronics banner

30 September-2 October 2019

5th International Conference on Perovskite Solar Cells and Optoelectronics, PSCO-19 – will be held in Lausanne, Switzerland.

We are pleased to announce that the 5th International Conference on Perovskite Solar Cells and Optoelectronics ( PSCO19 ) will be held in Lausanne, Switzerland, from 30 September to 2 October 2019 (Mon-Wed).

We kindly invite you to register and submit an abstract to present your research.

The programme will include a combination of invited talks, contributing talks and poster presentations in a meeting which will bring a broad spectrum of the community together to discuss and share knowledge on the latest advances in perovskite materials, devices and photophysical and optoelectronic properties and phenomena.

It will host a special session dedicated to speakers working in industry and two sessions will be sponsored by two European Projects on perovskites, Espresso and PerTPV.

Based on the input from previous conferences, we will extend the scientific and social programme over three full days, this will allow us to run two parallel sessions in the afternoons, and have more time for discussion.

Educating young researchers is at the core of our mission, which will be enabled by the opening tutorial lectures, in addition to a whole series of invited talks by world leading scientists in their respective specialities.

Please visit the conference website at www.psco-conference.org for further information.

Henry Snaith, Mohammad Nazeeruddin, Filippo De Angelis, Antonio Abate & Annamaria Petrozza Organisers and Scientific committee of the 5th International Conference on Perovskite Solar Cells and Optoelectronics ( PSCO-2019 )

2019 Journal of Materials Chemistry Lectureship – open for nominations

2019 Journal of Materials Chemistry Lectureship – open for nominations

Established in 2010, this lectureship honours early-career scientists who have made a significant contribution to the field of materials chemistry.

The Lectureship recipient receives £1000 to cover travel and accommodation costs to attend and present at a leading international meeting. The recipient is also invited to contribute an article to one of the Journal of Materials Chemistry journals and to receive a complimentary cover for the issue in which the article appears.

Last year’s winner of the 2018 Journal of Materials Chemistry Lectureship was Professor Shaojun Guo from Peking University, China and he will be giving his lectureship research talk at the RSC’s flagship materials chemistry 14 conference in Birmingham, UK.

To be eligible for the Journal of Materials Chemistry Lectureship, the candidate must:

  • Have completed their PhD.
  • Be actively pursuing an independent research career within materials chemistry.
  • Be at an early stage of their independent career (typically this will be within 10 years of completing their PhD, but appropriate consideration will be given to those who have taken a career break or followed a different study path).
  • Have made significant contributions to the field of materials chemistry.

Self-nomination is permitted, and all new nominations from 2018 will automatically be reconsidered this year.

At the Royal Society of Chemistry we believe we have a responsibility to promote inclusivity and accessibility in order to improve diversity. Where possible, we encourage each nominator to nominate an equal number of men and women.

You are welcome to circulate this information widely and please do ask for nominations from your colleagues and nominate researchers yourself.

To nominate a candidate, email the Journal of Materials Chemistry Editorial Office (materials-rsc@rsc.org) by the 18th of July 2019 with:

  • A brief C.V. of the candidate (no longer than two pages), including the candidate name, year and University of PhD, website link to research profile, current University and job title
  • A letter supporting the nomination (also no longer than two pages)

The Journal of Materials Chemistry A, B & C Editors-in-Chief will select and announce the Lectureship winner, in autumn 2019.

Selection is not based simply on quantitative measures. Consideration is given to all information provided in the letter of recommendation and candidate C.V., including research achievements and originality, contributions to the materials chemistry community, innovation, collaborations and teamwork, and publication history.

Thank you for helping Journal of Materials Chemistry A, B & C and the Royal Society of Chemistry to support early-career researchers. We sincerely look forward to receiving your nominations.
