Congratulations to the Poster Prize Winners at the Brazilian Catalysis Meeting!

RSC Advances would like to congratulate the poster prize winners at this year’s Brazilian Catalysis Meeting which took place 1 – 5 September in São Paulo, Brazil.

Congratulations to the 16th Chinese Symposium on Photochemistry, CCS Poster Prize Winners!

The 16th Chinese Symposium on Photochemistry, Chinese Chemical Society, was held in October at Shandong Normal University. The opening ceremony was chaired by Wang Xuesong with Professor Li-Zhu Wu chairing the closing ceremony. The topics covered during the conference included: solar energy conversion, photochemical synthesis, supramolecular photochemistry, biophotochemistry, environmental and atmospheric photochemistry, theoretical photochemistry, spectroscopy, photofunctional materials and other frontier disciplines that intersect photochemistry.

RSC Advances, Journal of Materials Chemistry A & Inorganic Chemistry Frontiers were pleased to sponsor 8 poster prizes.

Congratulations to the International Metal Complexes in Imaging and Detection RSC Advances Poster Prize Winners!

The Institute of Metals in Biology of Grenoble organized their 8th International Conference on International Metal Complexes in Imaging and Detection on 24-27 September 2019 in Villard de Lans.  The conference was a success and ran smoothly in the beautiful surroundings of the Vercours Mountains near Grenoble. It covered all aspects of the use of metal complexes in biological imaging and detection, including: Spectroscopy (fluorescence X), Radiolabeling, emission tomography, Luminescence, Magnetic Resonance imaging (MRI), Contrast agents for PARACEST and In cellulo detection.

RSC Advances is very pleased to have sponsored two poster prizes and sends congratulations to Margaux Roux & Salauat Kiraev!

Metal Complexes in Biology, Imaging and Detection

 

The Institute of Metals in Biology of Grenoble has organized the 8th International Conference from the 24-27 September 2019 in Villard de Lans. The village is located in proximity to Grenoble in the magnificent Vercours Mountains. The conference will be preceded by a summer school the 22-24 September focusing on both experimental and spectroscopic techniques in the scope of the conference.

 

This conference is localized in well reknowned scientific pole of Grenoble in Imaging and detection and it benefits from the exceptional environment provided by the institute of Metal in Biology of Grenoble.  RSC Advances is pleased to be sponsoring 2 oustanding poster presentation prizes.

The conference covers all aspects of the use of metal complexes in biological imaging and detection, including:

The Advanced Course

Students and young researchers are strongly encouraged to attend these courses. Topics will focus on the use of metal complexes in spectroscopy, radiolabeling, luminescence, MRI and cellular imaging.

ACS Fall 2019 National Meeting & Exposition

ENQA meeting sets record for attendance

The 19th National Meeting of Analytical Chemistry (ENQA) was held from September 16th – 19th in Caldas Novas/GO together with the 7th Ibero-American Congress of Analytical Chemistry (CIAQA). The event received 1218 registrations from 25 Brazilian states and the Federal District with 1112 works presented in poster form.

The event was attended by speakers and participants from different countries such as Argentina, Portugal, Canada and the United States and had three thematic sessions. One of was titled  a “Meet the Editor Session” and was sponsored by the Royal Society of Chemistry. This had the participation of the following editors: Dr. Carlos D. Garcia (associate editor, RSC Advances), Dr. Susan M. Lunte (former editor in chief, Analytical Methods) and Dr. Jailson Bittencourt de Andrade (associate editor, Analytical Methods). The present public had the opportunity to discuss general and ethical aspects about “What to publish”, “Where to publish” and “How to publish with quality”.

There were also four symposiums were held at the event, covering “Innovation and Entrepreneurship”, “Passive Sampling in Environmental Chemistry”, “Advances in Spectrometric Analysis” and “Recent Advances in Analytical Instrumentation” and “Development of Chemical Sensors”. All the symposiums had the participation of renowned researchers in the area and had crowded rooms. The Symposium “Advances in Spectrometric Analysis” was dedicated to the memory of Professor Bernhard Welz.
