Congratulations to the Prize Winners from the Nanoscale Horizons Symposium

Congratulations to the winners of the Nanoscale Horizons poster awards at the Nanoscale Horizons Symposium which was held at the University of California, San Diego on 5th October 2018.

Well done to Geoffrey Hollett (University of California, San Diego – Professor Michael Sailor’s group), Yue Zhang (University of California, San Diego – Professor Liangfang Zhang’s group), and Roberto Brea Fernandez (University of California, San Diego – Neal Devaraj’s group).

Nanoscale Horizons first Impact Factor released as 9.391

Nanoscale Horizons is delighted to announce its first Impact Factor is 9.391*.

We are delighted to see the support from the community over the last two years, contributing outstanding articles showcasing new concepts of exceptional significance to the nanoscience readership – thank you!

Congratulations to prize winners at 16th Annual Meeting of Society of Nano Science and Technology

We are delighted to congratulate two prize winners from the 16th Annual Meeting of Society of Nano Science and Technology, organized by The Society of Nano Science and Technology, which was held at the University of Tokyo from 10 – 12th May, 2018.

Nanoscale Horizons prizes were awarded by Hiromitsu Urakami, RSC Manager in Japan, to two faculty members:

  • Professor Hiro Minamimoto (Hokkaido University) for his talk on: Higher-order Plasmon-induced Electron Transfer Reactions
  • Professor Shinobu Sato (Kyushu Institute of Technology) for  her talk on: DNA bundling using supramolecular interaction

Nominations to Nanoscale Horizons Community Board now open!

Last year, our sister journal, Materials Horizons, announced the first ever early career researcher board – a Community Board. This Board is unique in that it is made up of early career researchers, such as PhD students and postdocs, who are fundamental in the future development of the materials field.

Since then, the members of the Community Board have provided invaluable feedback and advice to the Materials Horizons Editorial Office.

Based on its success so far, we are now creating a Community Board for Nanoscale Horizons.

Are you interested in helping shape a journal publishing cutting-edge research of exceptional significance? Do you have ideas on how high impact journals can engage and support early career researchers? If so, please get in touch!

Nanoscale Horizons award winner

Nanoscale Horizons is happy to announce the Nanoscale Horizons award was given to Dr Seiji Yamazoe for the best presentation at the 14th Annual Meeting of The Society of Nano Science and Technology, June 14th – 16th 2016 in Fukuoka, Japan.

His presentation was entitled “Effect of structural factors on bond stiffness of ligand-protected metal clusters”. Dr. Seiji Yamazoe is currently an assistant professor at University Tokyo.

First Nanoscale Horizons Articles Published

The Nanoscale Horizons Editorial Office are delighted to announce the first ever articles have been published online as Advance Articles in preparation for the first issue scheduled to be published in January 2016.

Three dimensional nitrogen-doped graphene hydrogels with in situ deposited cobalt phosphate nanoclusters for efficient oxygen evolution in a neutral electrolyte

A hybrid electrode of cobalt phosphate (CoPi) on nitrogen doped graphene hydrogels was fabricated by hydrothermal treatment of graphene oxide followed by CoPi electrodeposited in situ, which showed excellent performance toward oxygen reaction in a neutral electrolyte.
