CESB2017 aims to bring together two societies that have collaborated for many years to promote significant advances to the field of biomaterials, with specific focus on regenerative medicine applications. It will review the developmental trend and the progress on the frontier research of biomaterials sciences and engineering, including progresses in clinical research and applications.

10th Scandinavian Society for Biomaterials (ScSB) Meeting

Scandinavian Society for Biomaterials

15 – 17 March, 2017, Hafjell, Norway

The Scandinavian Society for Biomaterials (ScSB) was founded in May 2008 and focuses on organizing an annual Biomaterials meeting in Scandinavia and the Baltic states, to promote discussions and exchanges on Biomaterials research between academics and scholars, but also students and industry.

The ScSB 2017 meeting will tackle the underlying challenges in the fields of biomaterials and tissue engineering. Some focus will be made on fundamental inssues in biomaterial science. The conference will offer a platform for networking and socialising with Nordic and international scientist in a relaxed atmosphere. One of the main aims of this meeting is to create an environment for students and young investigators to interact with more experienced scientist and to spawn fruitful discussion between them. Some time to enjoy the delightful scenery will also be made to ensure that minds and bodies alike are kept in focus.

Zing conferences: Non-Invasive Delivery of Macromolecules

The Zing conference on Non-Invasive Delivery of Macromolecules will be held in Rancho Bernardo Inn, San Diego, USA, on 21 – 24 February 2017



Zing Conferences have been successfully organising and running scientific and medical conferences internationally since 2007. Meet us

Editor-in-Chief Professor Jennifer Elisseeff and Deputy Editor Dr. Laura Fisher will be present at TERMIS-AM, 11-14 December 2016, San Diego, US.


Jennifer is currently Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Orthopedic Surgery at Johns Hopkins and directs the Cell and Tissue Engineering Program in Biomedical Engineering. Jennifer was elected a fellow in the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering and a Young Global Leader in the World Economic Forum. She has a long history of significant contributions to the tissue engineering field with over 110 articles, book chapters and patent applications and we are delighted that she has joined the Biomaterials Science team as Editor-in-Chief.



Laura Fisher
Laura has a PhD in Chemistry (2011, University of Bath), and worked as a postdoc at Stellenbosch University before joining the Royal Society of Chemistry. As a Deputy Editor, Laura works on the management and development of Biomaterials Science and a small number of other related journals.

The RSC Biomaterials Chemistry Special Interest Group started in 2005 to provide a platform for researchers in UK universities and industry to present their work on the synthesis and characterisation of biomaterials. The meeting will cover the use of biomaterials in applications including prostheses, drug delivery and regenerative medicine and promote biomaterials chemistry research and development, enhance existing links, foster new collaborations and spread expertise.
The meetings are a great opportunity for participants to present new work and engage fruitful discussions, thus contributing to this important and growing area of chemistry.

IUPAC-PSK40

We are delighted to announce the IUPAC International Conference on Advanced Polymeric Materials: Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the Polymer Society of Korea (PSK).

This event will be held during 4–7 October 2016 at the International Convention Center Jeju, Korea. The conference will be an attractive event with 5 plenary and more than 200 invited lectures by renowned speakers from all over the world.

It will be an open forum for participants engaged in polymer synthesis, polymer physics, polymeric materials and polymer engineering. More information can be found in the Scientific Program.

The Polymer Society of Korea (PSK) was founded in 1976 and currently has around 3000 active members. Now, they are gladly celebrating its 40 years of contribution to the development of polymer science and technology of Korea by hosting a great conference of IUPAC-PSK40.

The conference will be held in Jeju island, the largest island in Korea, which was granted UNESCO World Heritage site status because of its unique and beautiful natural scenery. Nanoparticle Therapeutics 2016

On behalf of the organising committee, we would like to invite you to join us at Nanoparticle Therapeutics 2016, making clinical translation a reality.

The conference is in tropical north Queensland (Palm Cove) from the 23rd to 26th October 2016.

This conference is designed to bring together experts in Nanoparticle Therapeutics from people working at the laboratory bench through to clinical trials, government regulation and implementation in the clinic.

This meeting of around 50 participants involves an exemplary scientific program comprising invited international and local speakers, and offers an important training platform for early career researchers to present their results and to be exposed to “cutting edge” research. 4th Symposium on Innovative Polymers for Controlled Delivery

We are pleased to announce the 4th Symposium on Innovative Polymers for Controlled Delivery (SIPCD 2016).

SIPCD held biennially since 2010 has been established as a high-level conference in the fields of biomaterials, controlled drug delivery, protein and cell delivery, gene delivery, polymer-based diagnostics, and tissue engineering.
