Poster prize winners at Israel Chemical Society Annual meeting 2014

Energy and Environmental Science was delighted to sponsor the 79th Annual Meeting of the Israel Chemical Society, took place at Dan Panorama Hotel and Convention Center in Tel Aviv in February 4- 5, 2014.

The two-day symposium and exhibition, which was organised by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, covered both basic and applied chemistry. The meeting provided outstanding opportunities for scientists and entrepreneurs, R&D researchers and engineers, students and teachers from the academy, industry and government, to interact, exchange ideas, share their new results and create new collaborative projects.

Congratulations to Dr. Sabrina Sartori, who was awarded an Energy and Environmental Science poster prize at the poster session!

Poster prize winners at SPACECS, Brazil

The São Paulo School of Advanced Sciences on Electrochemistry, Energy Conversion and Storage took place between 7th-14th December last year at the Instituto de Química, Universidade de São Paulo. A special edition of the institute’s annual School of Electrochemistry, this eight day course combined intensive theoretical and lab-based electrochemistry workshops with conferences on lithium-ion batteries, lithium-air batteries, fuel cells and electrochemical capacitors.

The school was attended by particpants from all over the world, and invited speakers included Edson Ticianelli (IQSC-USP), Bryan McCloskey (IBM Research), Jean-Marie Tarascon (University of Picardie), Peter Hall (University of Sheffield) and Phil Bartlett  (University of Southampton).

International Symposium on Advanced Complex Inorganic Nanomaterials Poster Prizes

EES was delighted to sponsor three poster prize awards at the International Symposium on Advanced Complex Inorganic Nanomaterials which was held in Namur, Belgium on 11-14 September 2011.

The meeting was a great success with around 270 participants from 37 different countries. The three EES poster prizes were awarded to:

1) Experimental and theoretical study of TiO2 anatase nanoparticles surfaces properties

Poster Prizes at ICCDU XI

ICCDU winnerRSC Publishing was delighted to award three PhD Poster Prizes at the recent International Conference on Carbon Dioxide Utilization (ICCDU XI) held in June 2011, Dijon, France.

The winners were presented with RSC Prize certificates and either a free subscription to the journal or a financial award.

RSC Publishing journals will be awarding further Poster Prizes over the summer so watch this space!

EES Poster Prize: Würzburg OPV Conference

Energy & Environmental Science was delighted to award Poster Prize at the recent Würzburg OPV Conference held in June 2011.

We are pleased to announce the winning poster was by Hannes Kraus and Andreas Sperlich form the University of Würzburg, entitled Magnetic Resonance Study of Organic Solar Cells and the Influence of Morphology on Organic Solar Cells.

EES Poster Prize: solar summer school

Energy & Environmental Science was delighted to award Poster Prize at the recent international summer school on “Frontiers in Organic, Dye-Sensitised and Hybrid Photovoltaics” held in Krutyn, Poland from 14-20 June 2011. The summer school was jointly organized by Edinburgh University, Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Polish Supramolecular Chemistry Network Foundation.

The winning poster was:
