Celebrating the 34th WesTEC Winners!

The Royal Society of Chemistry is once again pleased to provide sponsorship for the Western Canada Operations Science and Technical Excellence Conference (WesTEC), hosted by Dow Canada. This annual meeting recognizes the outstanding accomplishments in the chemical sciences of researchers within Dow Canada.

The 34th WesTEC’s theme was “Igniting Potential – Seizing Opportunities”, which perfectly captures Dow’s purpose of driving innovation, sustainability, and collaboration. Dow’s model for driving growth and decarbonization simultaneously is a testament to a true dedication to building a more sustainable future.

For the ninth year, the Royal Society of Chemistry sponsored the awards for Best Presentation and Best Exhibit at WesTEC. This year, the Best Presentation award went to Jose Garcia Zapata and James Paterson, and the Best Exhibit award went to Swetha Nair and Spencer Lloyd. Congratulations to all of these winners, and we look forward to WesTEC again next year!
