Recently, Lab on a Chip published their second annual Reviews issue, a collection of Reviews and Perspectives highlighting both long-standing and emerging areas of research at the forefront of the miniaturization research community. This year’s issue contains articles focused on nanomedicine, artificial intelligence, sensors and diagnostics, environmental science, and more.

As part of celebrating their 10th anniversary, Materials Horizons will be publishing a series of Reflection articles from researchers who published during the first year of the journal’s existence. In these articles, researchers will reflect on their first publication in Materials Horizons and discuss how their published work has impacted the field at large, and how the field has progressed over the last decade.
The first of these articles how now been published from Prof. Vincent Rotello (University of Massachusetts Amherst), where he discusses his 2013 publication, “Protein coronas suppress the hemolytic activity of hydrophilic and hydrophobic nanoparticles.”
