RSC Applied Polymers and RSC Applied Interfaces were delighted to host the inaugural RSC Applied Symposium at Burlington House, London on Thursday 23rd July 2026, welcoming more than 70 attendees, 10 speakers, and 30 poster presenters. It was a fantastic day of networking filled with fascinating talks linked to sustainability in materials and polymer science.

We would like to congratulate our poster prize winner Meiyi Chen, University of Edinburgh and runner-ups Megan Gutman, Queen Mary University of London and Francesca Patel Burrows, University of Manchester. Well done on this excellent achievement and thank you to all that attended and took part in the flash presentations and poster session. The standard of work was incredibly high which was great to see at our first symposium!

RSC Applied Interfaces is a dedicated, interdisciplinary reference journal for cutting-edge research on the applications of surfaces and interfaces. In addition to the applied focus, work considered for publication in RSC Applied Interfaces is expected to be highly original and of top quality. The journal seeks to report major scientific advances beyond the state of the art, at the cutting edge of this interdisciplinary field. |
