Meet the authors
Professor Raz Jelinek holds the Carole and Barry Kaye Chair in Applied Science at Ben Gurion University, Beer Sheva, Israel and is also the Vice President and Dean for Research & Development. He holds a PhD (Chemistry) from the University of California, Berkeley. Raz has authored more than 230 peer-reviewed scientific publications and wrote 4 textbooks. Prof. Jelinek is among the pioneers in applications of conjugated polydiacetylenes for sensing applications, in the emerging field of applications of carbon dots as a platform for varied physical and chemical applications, and for identifying physiological catalytic amyloids. |
![]() Dr Sudipta Biswas is a Postdoctoral fellow in Jelinek Laboratory lead by Professor Raz Jelinek at the Department of Chemistry, Ben Gurion University of The Negev, Israel since 2022. He received his PhD in Physics from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India in 2021 where he worked extensively on synthesis and processing of novel materials for energy storage and conversion applications. His current research is focused on developing organic supercapacitor, high-power Micro-supercapacitor, and new electrocatalyst for water splitting to achieve goals of alternative energy usage and sustainability. |
RSC Applied Interfaces is a dedicated, interdisciplinary reference journal for cutting-edge research on the applications of surfaces and interfaces. In addition to the applied focus, work considered for publication in RSC Applied Interfaces is expected to be highly original and of top quality. The journal seeks to report major scientific advances beyond the state of the art, at the cutting edge of this interdisciplinary field.
