Chemistry Conference for Young Scientists

Chemistry Conference for Young Scientists 2016 is to be held on 16 to 18 March, 2016 in Blankenberge, Belgium. The conference is organised by the youth division of the Royal Flemish Chemical Society (Jong-KVCV). This is the thirteenth edition and gives young attendees the opportunity to present early results of their research.

Topics are organised in six parallel sessions, focussing on the typical research domains in chemistry.

  • Analytical and Environmental Chemistry
  • Biochemistry and Biotechnology
  • Inorganic Chemistry
  • Macromolecular Chemistry
  • Organic and Medicinal Chemistry
  • Physical and Theoretical Chemistry

Plenary keynote lectures by world-renowned scientists are scheduled. Nobel Prize laureate Prof. dr Sir Harold Kroto will highlight recent advances in the field that led to his Nobel Prize in 1996. In parallel, four seminars focussing on soft skills will prepare the participants on life after graduation.

Organic Chemistry Frontiers and Inorganic Chemistry Frontiers are pleased to sponsor this conference and award 3 poster prizes for the sessions of Inorganic Chemistry, Macromolecular Chemistry and Organic and Medicinal Chemistry.
