The latest issue of PPS is now online featuring work from Jun-Gill Kang and co-workers on the front cover. The image is demonstrating that solvatochromic luminescence of pyridocarbazolone containing a hydroxy group is associated with the basicity of the solvent. These findings are presented in the group from South Korea’s study ‘Luminescence properties of 4-hydroxy-5-phenylpyrido[3,2,1-jk]carbazol-6-one: solvatochromism and sensitivity to amine solution’ which you can read online here.
The issue also contains a perspective article from Mary Norval and Gregory Woods entitled ‘UV-induced immunosuppression and the efficacy of vaccination’. Read more about this interesting subject in an interview with Mary Norval here.
