Significance statement now required for Communications and Full Papers

Metallomics Communications and Full Papers must now include a separate paragraph (of no more than 100 words) that states how the work enhances or elucidates the understanding of the role of the metal(s), metalloid(s) or trace element(s) in the biological system. This text should not be a summary of the work reported, as in the article’s abstract. The statement will be published in the article and needs to be easy to read and accessible to the readership of the journal.

When will I see a change?

This change has taken effect from now and is applicable for all new Full Paper and Communication submissions. Communications or Full Papers currently under review or accepted and going through production are not subject to these new guidelines.
