On the front cover is a very striking and colourful image from the group led by Nerea Bordel and JAAS Advisory Board member Jorge Pisonero at the University of Oviedo, Spain. Together with their team, they have developed a new experimental setup that can apply an intense and transverse magnetic field of up to 70 mT to radiofrequency glow discharge plasma for optical emission spectroscopy.
